1981 Mercedes 380SL For Sale
The Mercedes 380SL's were first introduced in 1980 and lasted until 1985. The 380SL was a further development of the R107 chassis which was first introduced in 1972. Like the previous years the 380SL had a V8 engine, refined luxury, sporty underpinnings, and was very popular in its run. These cars had emission controls in mind, which meant that horsepower wasn't much different than the 450SL. The 380SL did get an improvement to the transmission. They were changed from a three speed automatic to a four speed automatic.
This 1981 Mercedes 380SL was with the previous owner for many years. The vehicle does run and drive. Just over 122,000 original miles. Has the original V8 engine with the original automatic transmission. Has four matching aftermarket wheels. Original spare wheel is there. Very solid car. It has the original paint.
The interior on the car is in decent shape. Soft top doesn't have any rips or tears. All the gauges work. Windows go up and down as they should. All the glass is in good condition other than the windshield which has a chip in it that has already been filled. Has a new dash cap cover installed. Has a momo steering wheel. Seats do need to be done. Great car that you can drive and enjoy. Clean California title in hand.
