1978 MGB Convertible For Sale
MGB's were first introduced in late 1962. This 1978 MGB Convertible has a five bearing crankshaft, ride height of the vehicle was increased an inch and rubber bumpers were fitted to meet the safety standards. MGB's were one of the most successful selling English sports cars and many of them are bought and restored today.
This vehicle has been a one family owned car and we were told that the mileage of just over 49,000 miles was original. The engine is the original 1800cc engine that has 85 hp and 100 lb-ft torque. We got the engine to start off of pouring some gas into the carburetor. The transmission is the original manual four speed. Has power brakes and disc brakes on the front.
Interior on the car is complete and there are some spare parts included. The dash is in great shape with no cracks. Seats aren't ripped and would look good with a good cleaning. Exterior of the car has no rust and has been garage kept. As far as we know most of the paint on the vehicle is original. Original cars are getting harder to find and this one would make a great summer project.
