The Mercedes W123 is a range of executive cars produced from 1975-1986. These cars became popular with the public for its modern look. 1976 was the first year for the coupe version of the W123. The W123 were styled after the new S-Class. These cars were offered with a longer wheelbase, a wider track and a larger body. They were immensely popular and less than a year into production many dealers had a 12 month waiting list. The car was better engineered for crash protection. Mercedes built a strengthened passenger cage and reinforced the roof.
This 1978 Mercedes 280CE. The car does have the original 2.8 liter six cylinder engine with an automatic transmission. It does run and drive but will require a tune up. Just over 136K original miles. This Mercedes 280CE has a factory sunroof and it works as it should. The car is a very solid. Has all four original rims with all the hubcaps. The original spare wheel is there. California car and the has a salvage title due to being a theft recovery years ago. Doesn't have any accident damage.
The interior is all complete, original and in nice shape. All the electric windows go up and down. The glass is all in good condition. Has a new dash cap that comes with the vehicle. It has an aftermarket stereo system in the car. The original becker stereo is included with the sale of the car. Newer battery. Factory jack is there and so is the lug wrench.
