1974 Ford F-250 For Sale
The Sixth Generation of the Ford F-Series was produced from 1973-1979. These trucks were also known as the dentside Ford. This generation was the introduction of the F-150 and the supercab body style. In 1975 the F-150 would replace the F-100 and has become the most popular version of the F-Series pickups. In 1977 the F-Series pickups became the best selling truck in the United States and they have held that position for the last 44 years. In 1973, Ford galvanized the inner fender aprons and they also were zinc coated with rust resistant primer. Ford also removed the gas tank from behind the seat to underneath the bed. Air conditioner vents were integrated into the dash and the blower was moved to the engine compartment. In 1974, Ford made the 460 cubic inch engine available in the two wheel drive lineup in all states expect for California. In June of 1974, Ford introduced the supercab pickup.
This 1974 Ford F-250 Camper Special has just come out of long term ownership. Comes with a 390 V8 engine with a three speed automatic transmission. The truck does run and drive but we would suggest getting new tires. Has power disc brakes, power steering and air conditioning. The brakes are disc in the front and drums in the rear. Has manual windows. Comes with its original tow mirrors. This truck has all the original wheels and hubcaps. Red exterior with a Red/Black interior. We have fixed a few items on this pickup. The fuel pump has been replaced, carburetor has been gone through and we also installed a new fuel sender strainer.
The interior of the truck is complete and in decent condition. From what we are seeing the interior is the original from the factory. All the gauges are there and are in working order. The dash is original and has not been cut up. The original radio is still present in this pickup. Glass is all there and in good shape other than a small chip in the windshield. Solid truck with only a few areas where there is some rust. Comes with a clean California title. Currently registered until February 2022.
