1972 Ford F100 For Sale
The fifth generation of the Ford F-series pickup trucks were produced from 1967 to 1972. These pickups were built on the same platform as the fourth generation. The fifth generation had sharper styling lines, a larger cab and more engine options. Three trim levels were available during the production of the fifth generation F-series, though the names were changed in 1970. The "Base" trim became the "Custom" and the "Custom Cab" became the "Sport Custom" joining "Ranger" as optional levels of equipment and trim. Late in production the Ranger trim level was upgraded with the additional "Ranger XLT" option. Engine options included a 170 cubic inch straight six, 240 cubic inch straight six, 300 cubic inch straight six, 352 FE V8, 360 FE V8, 390 FE V8 and the 302 Windsor V8.
1972 Ford F100 Custom Explorer. This pickup truck comes with a Ford FE V8 with an automatic transmission. We are unsure of the exact size. The vin number decodes to the truck being a 360 V8. No smog required. Currently the engine is seized, but we have put lubricant down each cylinder to help free it up. Comes with power steering and manual brakes. The brakes are drums on the front and rear. Has manual windows.
The majority of the interior of this pickup is complete but requiring a restoration. The radio is missing. The gauge cluster is there and hasn't been cut up. The glass is all there but the rear window on the drivers side has been broken. There is another rear window included with the sale. This truck does have rust. Included with the sale is a new radiator, new water pump, spare passenger side fender some other miscellaneous parts. It is currently registered until the end of May 2021. Will be sold with a bill of sale.
