1971 Mercedes Benz 280SE 4.5 For Sale
The Mercedes Benz W108 series cars were produced from 1965-1973. W108 series cars feature a reinforced rear axle with a hydro pneumatic compensating spring. These cars sit on 14" wheels with disc brakes on the front and rear. The 4.5 liter cars were only offered in the United States. 4.5 liter cars were fitted with a three speed automatic transmission with a torque converter.
This 1971 Mercedes Benz 280SE 4.5 has been in the high desert for many years. Previous owner had the vehicle stored inside for many years. The vehicle has the original 4.5 V8 engine with the original automatic transmission. We got the engine to start off of pouring gas into the intake. The windshield does have a little chip, but all of the other glass is in great condition. Has been in California its whole life. Clean title in hand.
The interior on the vehicle is complete other than the radio. Seats are still in good shape. Very clean car inside and out. Has two jacks included with the car and the spare tire is there. It is a very solid car with very little rust. Floors are in great shape. All four hubcaps are there. The chrome work is all in good shape and all there. Great car to have as a summer project and wouldn't take much to get it back on the road. These cars are getting harder to find and this one is one of the cheapest on the market.
