The Triumph TR6 is a sports car built by British Triumph Motor Company between late 1968 to 1976. The bodywork was generally similar to the TR4/TR5 but the front and back ends were squared off, reportedly as a result of a consultancy contract involving Karmann. It was the best-seller of the TR range when production ended. All TR6s were powered by Triumph's 2.5 liter straight six. The TR6 featured a four-speed manual transmission. Construction was traditional frame. Other features included semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15-inch wheels and Michelin asymmetric XAS tires which dramatically improved the handling, pile carpet on floors and trunk/boot, bucket seats, and full instrumentation. Brakes were discs at the front and drums at the rear.
1969 Triumph Tr6 which has just come out of long term ownership. This car has a triumph tr6 2.5 liter engine with a four speed manual transmission. The engine in the car isn't currently turning but we have put lubricant into the engine to help free it up. This vehicle hasn't been on the road since the 80's. All of the wheels are original including the spare. Being a 1969 Tr6 it is a very early car and don't come up as often as the later cars. It does have manual windows. It does have factory power brakes with discs on the front.
The interior on the car will have to be restored. All of the gauges on the car are there and the soft top frame is there and moves up and down freely. The door glass on the car is there and is in good shape. The windshield is chipped. The dash is all original and is uncut. Has the original steering wheel. It does have the original black and yellow California plate. Has been in California its whole life and comes with a clean title. Very solid car. Great candidate for a restoration.
