1969 Mgb Convertible For Sale
The MGB is a two-door sports car manufactured and marketed by the British Motor Corporation. The MGB achieved a 0 to 60 mph time of just over 11 seconds. The three-bearing 1,798 cc B series engine produced 95 hp at 5,400 rpm upgraded in October 1964 to a five-bearing crankshaft. All MGBs from 1963 to 1974 used twin 1.5-inch SU carburetors. MGBs were fitted with 11-inch solid disc brakes on the front with drum brakes on the rear. Replacing the MGA in 1963, production of the MGB and its variants continued until 1980. Sales for the MGB, MGC and MGB GT V8 combined totaled 523,836 cars.
This 1969 Mgb Convertible has just come out of long term ownership. This vehicle does run and drive. The engine is an 1800 cc with a manual four speed gearbox. Engine on the vehicle starts right up without any issue. Brakes on the car are in good working order and the clutch/ gearbox shift without an issues. Previous owner replaced the brake master cylinder as well as the clutch master cylinder. Has the original SU carburetors. As far as we can tell the vehicle did come from the factory with British Racing Green paint color. Has the desirable chrome bumpers with all five original wire wheels.
The interior on this car is all there and in decent shape. The soft top frame is there and was recently painted by the previous owner. Has an aftermarket Gt steering wheel. All the glass has no cracks or chips other than the windshield. Chrome bumpers are in decent shape and are straight. The vehicle does have some rust. California car with a clean title. Very cheap English sports car that will be a blast to drive and enjoy.
