1968 Chevrolet Corvette For Sale
The C3 Chevy Corvette was produced from 1968-1982. Engines and chassis components were carried over from the previous year Corvette's. As the previous year Corvette, the C3 was available in a coupe and a convertible. The rear glass was removable and it 1968 was the introduction of T-tops. In 1968; Corvette changed their headlight doors from opening electrically to vacuum. Windshield wipers had a vacuum operated door to keep the wipers hidden. On the 1968 Corvettes, the door handles were on top of the door with a push button to open the door. The battery was relocated to behind the drivers seat instead of in the engine compartment. There was a good amount of engine options. The only two size engines were the 327 and the 427. The introduction of the three speed automatic transmission took place of the previous two speed powerglide.
1968 Chevrolet Corvette. As far as we were told by the previous owner is that this vehicle originally came with a 427. Currently the vehicle has a 454 engine in it with a manual four speed muncie transmission. This car does run and drive. Has headers and it has flowmasters mufflers. Comes with manual four wheel disc brakes. Comes with power steering. Previous owner installed an Ididit steering column. Has a yellow exterior with a black interior. All four hubcaps and beauty rings are there. Previous owner had just spent a lot of money on the vehicle. Paint was done, interior, engine, etc.
The interior of the vehicle is complete and in good shape. The original bucket seats are there and reupholstered by previous owner. Is a tilt steering column. Has all the original gauges. Dash has not been cut up. The gauges are working other than the fuel gauge, which we think could be a faulty fuel sender. The glass on the vehicle is there with no cracks. Has manual wind up windows which work with ease. California car and comes with a clean title. Currently registered.
