At the 1960 Turin Auto Show, BMC's Italian partner Innocenti showed a small spider that was based off of the Austin Healey Sprite. OSI was the coachbuilder of these vehicles. The original Innocenti had the Frogeye's 948 cc engine. The Innocenti Spider originally sold well in Italy but they had a hard time competing against the cheaper Sprite in the export market. Sales had drastically dropped for the Spider, so Innocenti decided in 1965 to make a Coupe verrsion of these vehicles. These cars had an 1100 cc engine. The Coupe's bodywork was wider and longer than the Spider. Based on research from Bill Emerson, these cars were made from 1965 to 1968. There was also only 487 of these vehicles built.

1965 Innocenti Coupe. This vehicle was under same ownership for many years. The engine does turn freely by hand, but is not currently running. As far as we know the engine and transmission is original to this vehicle. Comes with disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear. The exterior of the vehicle is a mustard color and comes with a black interior. Has the original rims and hubcaps. Comes with a spare tire and the original jack.

The interior of this vehicle is pretty much complete, but will require a restoration. All the glass is there and in good condition. Comes with its original steering wheel. Dash is all original and has not been cut up. Gauges are all original. This vehicle does have rust. Main floorpan is in good condition. There are some loose parts that are included with the sale of this vehicle. Comes with a clean California title. Very rare car that is only supposed to be one of eight known to exist.
