The Cadillac Eldorado is a premium luxury car that was manufactured and marketed by Cadillac from 1952 to 2002. The Eldorado was at or near the top of the Cadillac line. The Eldorado carried the Fleetwood designation from 1965 through 1972. For 1965, the Eldorado became a Fleetwood sub-series, although there was, strictly speaking, no separate Fleetwood series at this time. The elevated tail fins were removed, with fins planed flat, and sharp, distinct body lines replaced the rounded look. Also new were a straight rear bumper and vertical lamp clusters. Power was still supplied by the 340 horsepower 429 cu in V8. There was only 2125 Eldorado Convertibles made in 1965.
This 1965 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible was with the previous owner for around the last ten years. This car came out of a museum in Washington. It has the original 429 Cadillac V8 with an Automatic Transmission. The car runs and drives. Has power brakes, power steering and is a factory A/C car. We have just done some work to the vehicle. Has new distributor cap, spark plugs, leads and rotor. Carburetor has been rebuilt. Fuel tank has been cleaned and new hoses and a new sender were installed. The brake booster has also been rebuilt and we installed a new master cylinder and hydraulic hoses. It does have a boot cover, factory spare tire and the jack and tools.
Interior on the vehicle is in good condition and is complete. The gauges on the cluster work as they should. Has tilt and telescopic steering column. The car does have factory cruise control. All four hubcaps are there. All the electric windows go up and down. Electric soft top goes up and down. Dash is in good shape with no cracks. All the glass is in good condition. The car is very solid. The chrome on the car is in good shape and is straight. The car comes with a clean California title. These cars are getting harder to find.
