The Jaguar Mark 2 is a medium sized saloon car built from late 1959 to 1967. The Mark 2 was a fast and capable saloon in line with William Lyons 1950s advertising slogan: Grace, Space, and Pace. The engine options were a 2.4, 3.4 and a 3.8. The 3.8 is similar to the unit used in the early e types. Four wheel disc brakes were standard on a Mark 2. 3.8 litre cars were fitted with a limited slip differential. The 3.8 litre Mark 2's had 220 bhp and was capable of doing 0-60 in 8.5 seconds.
This Jaguar Mark 2 has just come out of long term ownership. Previous owner always had the car stored inside a garage. Has the desirable 3.8 litre engine with an automatic transmission. The car is matching numbers. It does run and drive, but will require more work to make it a driver. We have done some work on this vehicle. The head was removed and rebuilt. All top end gaskets have been replaced, new core plugs and all the hydraulic brake hoses have been replaced.
Interior on the vehicle is in good condition and is all complete. Has all five wire wheels and also has the tool kit in the trunk. The car has no rust. Califonia car with a clean title. All the glass is in good condition other than the windshield. We can get a windshield for the car at an additional cost. The original owners manual is included with the car. Has a new windshield seal and lock strip.
