1960 Triumph TR3A For Sale
The Triumph TR3 is a British sports cars that was produced from 1955 to 1962. The TR3 had some improvements over its predecessor. They have greater power and improved braking. These vehicles are powered by a four cylinder 1991 cc engine with a manual four speed gearbox. Horsepower on these cars are right around 95-100 hp. In 1956 the front brakes were changed from drums to discs. Triumph was the first British series production car to have disc in the front. The TR3A had some improvements over the TR3. They now had a wider front grill, exterior door handles and a lockable boot handle.
This 1960 Triumph TR3A was a garage find that has been sitting since the early 1990's. The engine is the correct engine for that car and so is the four speed manual gearbox. The engine does run very well and the brakes all work. Engine has great oil pressure. Just recently the clutch master cylinder gave out. We have replaced the rear wheel cylinders, rear brake hose, clutch slave cylinder, clutch hose, upper radiator hose, removed and cleaned the fuel tank, installed a new fuel sender, new fuel pump and cleaned the carburetors.
Interior is all there on the vehicle. The windshield is in great condition. Side curtains are there and shown in one of the latter pictures. Dash hasn't been messed around with and is all original. The car does have some rust in the drivers side lower front fender and a little in the floor. Where the spare tire sits is solid and it has the original spare. The frame is solid and straight. Some new parts are included with this vehicle. Always been a California car and has a clean title in hand. This car is a great project that wouldn't take much.
