1953 Morgan Plus 4 For Sale

The Morgan Plus 4 production ran from 1950 to 1969. After World War II Morgan re-introduced their 4/4 model and they were fitted with a 1267 cc standard engine. That engine remained in these vehicles until the Plus 4 came out in 1950. From 1950 to 1953 Morgan used the 2088 cc Standard engine. Morgan would eventually change over to a Triumph engine. The flat nose Morgan was only produced until 1953. After 1953 the radiator grille was now surrounded by a cowl that blended into the bonnet. Front disc brakes were an option for these vehicles in 1959 and in 1960 they became standard equipment. There were a few different styles of these vehicles produced. They made a two seat roadster, four seat roadster and the same with a drophead coupe.

1953 Morgan Plus 4. This Morgan has just come out of long term ownership and has been stored in a barn for many years. Currently this vehicle has a Triumph engine and we got the engine to start off of pouring some gas into the carburetors. Has a four speed manual gearbox. Comes with drum brakes on the front and rear. Has all four original wheels. The soft top frame is there and in good shape. 

The interior of the vehicle is complete but will require restoration. Has the original seat in the vehicle. The dash has not been cut up and the gauges are original other than the RPM gauge. Has the original steering wheel. Front windshield is there but it is cracked. Car rolls and steers without any issues. This vehicle is very solid and would be a great candidate for restoration. There are some loose parts that are included in the sale. Very rare vehicle. Comes with a clean title.
