1948 Cadillac Series 62 For Sale
The Cadillac Series 62 is a model series that was produced from 1940 to 1964. The Series 62 was also marketed as the Sixty-Two and Series Sixty-Two. The 1948 to 1953 Series 62 had a slightly shorter wheelbase, but the width was increased by two inches. These 1948-1953 Cadillacs started out being powered with a 346 flathead V8. From 1949 to 1953 they were powered with a 331 V8 engine. For the size of these vehicles they got decent mileage. Roughly around 14 mpg highway and 10 mpg in the city with the Hydramatic transmission. In 1948 Series 62 production totaled to 34,213.
1948 Cadillac Series 62 Fastback. This vehicle has just come out of long term ownership. Has the original flathead V8 engine with a Hydramatic transmission. The engine does turn a little by hand but does get stuck. We have put some lubricant inside to help. Does come with power assisted brakes and this vehicle has electric windows. Has four wheel drum brakes. Comes with all four hubcaps and three spares. Comes with a black and yellow plate and been off the road since the 1980's.
The interior of the vehicle is there but will require a restoration. Has the original front and rear bench seats. Steel dash has not been cut up. Comes with its original steering wheel, gauge cluster and original radio. The original clock is also present on the passenger side of the dash. The rear piece of trim for the back window is there. This vehicle does have some rust. All the glass is there. California car and comes with a clean title.
